After the bales have gone

It was a beautiful hot sunny afternoon when I stumbled across this delighful little scene. The farmer had only just gathered in all of the Hay bales leaving a beautiful golden field. I loved the contrast between the bright field and the dapled light in the shaded gateway. The yachts on the water and the receding fields in the distance just added to it. Whilst painting all i could hear was the sound of silence.
